Volunteering
RSPCA Craven & Upper Wharfedale could not function without the help and support of Volunteers. We need help in many different ways.
We need Dogwalkers and Cat Befrienders to visit the animals in our kennels near Keighley. The dogs spend many hours in their pens and really enjoy meeting new people and being taken out for fun walks across the surrounding woods and moors.
The cats spend 24 hours a day in their pens and really appreciate a kind volunteer stroking them and playing with them with their toys. This really helps the very shy cats to develop confidence and helps them to come forward and be noticed when potential adopters come to view.
We also need help with Fundraising. Could you help us at Events such as Tombola stalls and bricabrac sales? Could you hold coffee mornings or quiz nights at your local pub?
We always need tombola prizes and prizes suitable for raffles and auctions.
We are almost completely self funding and need to raise a great deal of money ourselves in order to help as many unwanted and abused animals as we can.
We also need Fosterers to look after puppies, kittens and adult cats and dogs recovering from operations in their own homes.
These are just some of the ways you could help us.
Due to insurance restrictions we are unable to accept applications for volunteering from under 18s. However, young people can still help local animals in our care by carrying out their own fund raising – cake stalls, bring and buy, sponsored events; the list is endless. For more ideas on how you can help please visit the Animal Action Club pages on the main RSPCA WEBSITE
We look forward to hearing about your fund raising fun.
